In Biosphere Reserve Santana there are several picnic areas that provide pleasant moments of conviviality in complete harmony with nature. Most of these spaces have adequate infrastructure for conducting picnics and recreation, with easy access and being properly marked.
Picnic Park of Pico das Pedras
In this park you can quietly enjoy the fresh air and the chirping of the birds. Here you will find a tourist information centre. This Park is adapted to receive people with motor and visual disabilities, providing them direct contact with nature.
Picnic Park of Queimadas
Here you can see some of the species of the Laurissilva forest and admire some monumental trees as well as carry out activities from birdwatching, to which this Park this properly adapted. If you desire, you can bring a picnic and enjoy it in picnic areas. Here you will also find the Casa de Abrigo das Queimadas with its spectacular thatched roof.
Wire-picnic Park of Fio
Properly equipped this park features dining tables, toilets, bar, geriatric equipment and parking space, and it offers a privileged view over the mouth of Ribeira de São Jorge and part of the parish of Santana.
